COME ON IN….
I am so glad you checked us out on the internet, but man would I love for you to come visit the UPPER ROOM personally. The Upper Room is the Student Minsitry at New Banklick Baptist Church, and is located upstairs adjacent from the Youth Leader’s office (Hey it makes sense because the Upper Room is upstairs). Anyways, in the Upper Room we get to be authentic and get real as we address some of the issues teenagers face today and look to God’s Word for direction and guidance. This of course is accompanied with games, hanging out, and all kinds of other crazy events!!!
In the Upper Room we like to do “Something Different” all the time, which means we always have some fun and exciting times ahead. I do hope that you will come check us out and spend some time with some of the best teenagers EVER!!!
Our Youth Leader
Becky Niemeyer leads our youth. She is dedicated to training our youth in the ways of Christ and how He will change their lives. They help with the problems teenagers run into and show them how to deal with these problems in a Christian manner.
Come check us out, meet Becky, hang out with other youth, get in line for events such as youth camp, winter jam, and various church events that happen every few weeks.
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. = Dinner with the rest of church. Yea, dinner every Wednesday Night.
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. = “F.O.G.” (Fellowship, Outreach, and Games) – this is a great time to come play games, hang out with kids our age, and be challenged from a short devotion time
9:45 a.m. –10:45 a.m. = “FUEL” (Sunday School) -we are currently working our way through key Biblical doctrines.
11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. = Church Service
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. = “FIRE” -this is our time to get real, authentic, and discuss some of
the difficult and interesting issues/topics that teenagers (including ourselves) face on a daily basis.
***Please note that this is a typical week, sometimes we have special events or church-wide events, which would possibly alter our meeting times. Feel free to always ask about what’s going on…
